  Problems or faults relating to fileserver services, provided to enable the correct operation of virtual desktop service.

Managed Support

Proactive management and monitoring

Remote Desktop infrastructure  Problems or faults with remote desktop infrastructure deployed as part of the managed VDI (AVD) service. 
  Deployment of additional (VM-based) infrastructure to support increased numbers of VDI users. 
  Problems or faults relating to fileserver and/or FXlogic services, provided to enable the correct operation of virtual desktop service. 
  Licensing. 
  Deployment of security updates onto AVD session host systems, no more than twice per calendar month. Note: User session downtime / moving users between session host will be required to complete the patch and update cycle. 
  Deployment of major OS updates onto AVD hosts (no more than 2 per calendar year).  Note: User session downtime / moving user between session host will be required to complete patch and update cycle.

Active monitoring of VDI host utilisation via Azure Insights, the following are are monitored:

Monitoring and optimisation of session host configuration via Azure monitor alerts, platform optimisation tracking and altering based on the following criteria: 

  • Service issue – Microsoft recommended Azure monitor alert for service issue related items, that effect user connection and/or user experience. 
  • Health advisory – Microsoft recommended Azure monitor alters for host configuration and performance factors, including deviation from security baseline, performance degradation due to system utilisation and feature (included supported connection clients) deprecation or retirement. 
  Active management of session host start/stop, in line with user connection requirements to optimise resource utilisation. 
  Note: Response to alerts and rumination, occurs within contract SLA’s 
Reporting  Monthly reporting of system health and usage via remote 1 hour, to occur between Acuutech Account manager and the client.  Reporting is based on based obtained via Azure Insights for AVD and (if generated) any Azure monitor alerts. 
  All Azure monitor and Insights data available to the client via the Azure portal.
